Hotel-Spider offers the option of deriving prices and restrictions from product 'A' to another product 'B' and then applying surcharges or discounts to them. Multiple derivations are also permitted. The price derivation takes place in the Hotel-Spider extranet under 'Configuration' -> 'Products':
Setting a new price derivation is done in 5 steps:
1.) Define product dependency:
Click on the product in the list that is to be derived from another product and tick the box "This sellable product is derived from". Select the desired base rate in the list and save the setting:
Carry out this step for all products to be derived until your complete rate structure has been set up.
2.) Inheritance of booking rules ("Parameters")
If you want not only the base price to be copied from product A to product B, but also the booking rules (e.g. MinLOS), you can activate their automatic inheritance in the "Inheritance" field:
If booking rule inheritance is not activated, the restrictions for derived products must be maintained manually in the "Booking rules" menu.
3.) Define the surcharges or discounts:
Surcharges or discounts can be defined for the derived rates based on the base rate as percentage or fixed price. These surcharges and discounts later appear in the price calendar with the selected calculation:
To enter the surcharges or discounts, click on the 'Adjustments' tab in the derived product and then on 'Edit period':
In the window that opens, select:
1. the desired period or "All periods"
2. the desired surcharge/discount in % or €/CHF
3. whether the same surcharge/discount should also apply to other products
-> And hit 'Save'!
