In the Hotel-Spider system, the database is always available 2 years (that is 720 days) in advance, during which you can sell your rooms. Every night a new day is added. For each new day, the database first uses the default values. For this reason, there are various parameters that you should check and update whenever a new period is released for sale.
We recommend to renew or re-enter the following settings in Hotel-Spider at least once a year:
General
| Input | Explanation | Instruction |
| Availabilities, Prices, Booking Rules | Please check until when your availabilities, prices and booking rules are entered in Hotel-Spider. Particularly hotels that do not have a PMS interface should check if the data is completely maintained until the end of the desired bookability. |

| Price Derivations for Derived Products |
The price differences from product A to product B must be defined on a daily basis. If these are not extended regularly, a default value of €0 applies. |

Channel Manager
| Input | Explanation | Instruction |
| Splitting | If you have connected portals and products that require a split of the availabilities, this split should be extended. If the values are missing, the default value with an availability of 0 automatically takes effect and you would then no longer be bookable in the affected products. | Link: How do I define splitting? |
| Specific Booking Rules HRS | At the HRS portal, catering type (incl./excl. breakfast), cancellation conditions and guarantee type are controlled via our Channel Manager. Please make sure that these are entered for all bookable periods. | Link:How do I define HRS specific booking rules? |
| Specific Booking Rules Other Portals |
Please check in Hotel-Spider - Booking Rules which of your connected portals require the entry of specific restrictions and extend the entries accordingly. |
|
| New OTA Contracts | For some online portals, the MappingIDs change with each new contract term. For example, if you have agreed new contracts with Hotelbeds, GTA or AIC Travel for the coming year, you should ensure that they are linked in the Channel Manager. | Link: How do I define the mapping for an interface? |
Booking Engine Spider-Booking 4
| Input | Explanation | Instruction |
| Booking Rules on your WBE | If you have version 4 of our WBE in use, you should take into account that there are specific booking rules for it as well. These relate to the cancellation and advance booking deadlines. In addition, the surcharges for children and additional adults should be defined in the price overview for all bookable periods. | How can I define cancellation conditions for Spider-Booking 4? |
